2008-2009 Thank You's...

May '09  Thank you to everyone who helped us Celebrate the Children at the Annual Picnic!!!!!  It takes a village to run TBoys now with so many enrolled and we truly apprecaite everyone and their efforts to make this another wonderful celebration.  I would list names, but because there is so many, I might not have enough room and would fear leaving out even one person.  We had money donated, help getting trophies, field painting, lights, gas, power for lights, water balloons, food - meat, cakes, drinks, fixin's and gifts, decorations, many to cook and one to bring the grill and make sure all was cleaned up in the park, those to fix the picture boards and those to set them out, those to help pack us all back up.  This is not all, but gives a clue to the help we received.  Thanks to the family for getting the Thursday Boys Van!!  So awesome for the kids!!  Thanks to all who support their community!! 

Mar-Apr '09  Thank you to everyone who supports Thursday Boys!!  It takes a village to run this show!! Thank you to all the children who contribute their time to shag balls and unload and load the trailer/pick-up and to mentor to one another and to serve snacks to each other and to go to class to learn how to be a leader!!  We have awesome children and we are so proud of them!!  Thanks to all the parents and friends who donate their time and money to make this program successful in serving our children and our community!!  Another thanks to Mr. Freeman, Mgr and Walgreens (by the school) who donates their leftover candy to us to treat the children, the teachers, the elderly, the homeless and we try to spread it around as far as we can!!  We are so gratefull for all of you!!  I hope everyone makes it to the picnic - May 28th at 5pm!!

Nov & Dec '08   Thank You!! to everyone who made our Teddy Bear/Stuffy Drive such a HUGE success!!  Our goal was 500, but we collected over 600!!  GREAT JOB Everyone!!  Also Thanks!! for making our T-Boy Toy Drive a HUGE success!!   We collected over 600 new toys for the children in the shelters!!  Way above what we did last year!!  Thanks!! to everyone for your financial support and your participation!!  Without you - we wouldn't have nearly as much fun!! 

Regarding the November McLean Schools Work Day & Father/Son.. B-day wishes filled.  Our sponsor family was totally furnished for Xmas including 2 genoursly donated bikes donated by T-Boys, EC & homeless gift packages were sent as well.  Great Job Everyone!! This is a community service organiziton and a community financed group.  If you are in a financial position to support this organization, you are supporting not only your kids and their future, but their future neighbors/community by instilling leadership and community service in the kids they play with now.  These are the kids that will be taking care of things when we are senior citizens and in need of assistance.  Thursday Boys is helping to shape the hearts and minds of kids while they are building the foundation of who they are going to be as adults.
