Y the Living -
    *Always need Canned food entree items (stew, tuna, ravioli, etc), sterno and can openers
        Caring Closet:  need B-day toys, new or gently used stuffed animals for sick children, childrens clothes,
         Sleeping bags, blankets, pillows, towels, washcloths, new socks & underwear for men/women/children               
         Toothbrush/paste, combs/brushes, razors, soap, deodorant, tampons, Kotex, tissue paper              
         Neosporin, Advil, Band-Aides, cotton balls, foot powder, paper towels,                    
         Bottled water, Gatorade, Ziplock bags - small and large, wet-wipes, diapers, 
   
        Stamps for cards, postcards and mail-outs


ONGOING PROJECTS - Year-round
*  COLLECTING CAN TABS for the Cancer Society for Kids with Cancer.            
*  CANNED GOODS DRIVE for those in need and the homeless.
        *** Goal: 10 cans per month per family enrolled ***
     Fun Tip:  Kids can go door-to-door on their block to involve neighbors
*  PENNIES Make a Difference Campaign -  for the poverty stricken youth of Fort Worth. 
     Earn 'em, save 'em, find 'em, share 'em!!
*  COKE PRODUCTS CAPS/CLIPPING - These will be donations split for children with disabilities/handicaps to use        on the Coke Rewards Program.

*  Plants for Senior Citizens
       Done many times every year

*  Raking leaves up for Senior Citizens and
   those who are house-bound - annually

* For the homeless: sleeping bags, coats, gloves,
   personal hygiene items, and canned food
      ...Dec 2009 - we are still handing out items
      ...Dec 2007 - handed out 1500 canned goods
      ...Done many years before also

*  Work the Elementary school's fall carnival -
   run a booth for fund raising
   and clean up after the event
      ...Done annually

*  Stage crew for the Elementary school's
   talent show, both for the show for the
   students and and the one for the
   parents/family.
      ...Did annually

*  Help a sister school beautify its grounds. 
   Cleaning out beds, planting plants, adding
   a rock garden, trimming trees and other misc jobs

*  Sports Equipment - new and gently used -
   donated to the victims of Katrina - few things
   say "normal" like play does and equipment is
   needed to play sports

*  Beautify our own park where we play even
   though it is city owned - plant plants and trees,
   trim trees, create and maintain plant beds.
       ...Done annually

*  Children's books (new & gently used) collected
   for area hospitals

*  New & gently used shoes for everyone donated 
   to a local women's shelter


*  Planted 25 new trees in our Park in March '08.  TBoys committed
   to watering these for two years to insure their success.  Local City
   Council Rep, Chuck Silcox, honored TBoys for their Community Service

*   New Kids Bathing Suit drive to help kids in shelters
    "feel normal" this summer - splashing and swimming
    in a pool

*   Birthday Wishes FAll '07 -toys given to less
    fortunate children - 62 wishes filled

Teddy Bear/Stuffy Drive Fall '08 for under-
    privaledge children, many from homeless
    shelters who's parents are attenting classes to
    better themselves and their families, will
    receive a bear/stuffy to hug and play with. 
    We reached our goal of 500!!

*   McLean 6th & Middle Schools Clean-Up &
   Maintenance Fall '08!!   A few years ago, we
   helped to plant
   beds and work
   on the grounds.  Again
   This year, we
   went out to
   help maintain
   the grounds
   and add to
   them.  These
   are our sister
   schools.




*  Our December 2009 "Thank You" List to all who
   helped to make the month a Huge Success:
   - Clothing for transients
   - 400 canned goods
   - $1,000 for fire reparation to a TBoy family
   - Xmas for sponsor family
   - Elderly flowers and candy
   - 1,018 toys for Xmas
   - Blankets & meals for the homeless
   - Turkey Dinners for handicapped
   - Elf deliveries
   - Stocking stuffers
   - Cookouts
   - Wish list grants
   - Section 8 helpers
   - Adopt a shop
